Practitioners are caring for an aging population that often present with complex medical histories. The rules for appropriate patient management are constantly changing. Most total joint replacement patients no longer need premedication. Patients on Coumadin and other blood thinners do not always need to stop medications prior to dental treatment. This course will discuss current recommendations for appropriate management of patients with these and other various medical issues.
