The registration fee includes a three-hour lecture, cocktails and dinner. The fee is the same to attend the lecture only or dinner only. No refunds will be given after November 9. The Hinman Trustees have provided a generous subsidy to offset the $150 cost per attendee to attend a membership meeting.


Complimentary professional headshots will be available for all Hinman Members from 3-6 p.m.

From your first day of practice ownership to the day you retire, the journey is filled with a plethora of highs, lows and lessons learned to eventually lead to a thriving business. How can you prepare and set yourself up for the most success?

Whether you’re looking to own your first practice, a current owner ready to grow your practice, or even an established owner looking to sell a portion or all of the practice when the time is right, this lecture is packed with insight to assist you in reaching your next financial goal. The speaker will discuss the benefits to ownership, keys to accumulating wealth, options for dental transitions and private equity opportunities.

Upon completion of this session, attendees should be able to:
  • Understand both the financial and personal advantages of practice ownership.
  • Set a realistic financial plan to help meet long-term goals.
  • Determine strategies to improve cash flow.
  • Identify the various approaches to transition a dental practice and determine which paths are best for different situations.

Charles Loretto

Charles received a Bachelor of Arts in marketing from University of Texas at Arlington. He joined CWA in 2001 and became partner in 2016. He plays a critical role in growing the firm’s client base as the director of business development, marketing and new client services.

He regularly speaks to dental schools and residency programs, study clubs, dental symposiums and state and national dental meetings. Since 2004, Charles has presented to over 30,000 dentists and 51 dental schools. He is a published author, and host of the top-ranking dental podcast, Transition Talk.

Charles oversees the practice transition department for CWA, and is founder of affiliate company, National Dental Placements, that assists doctors in the buying, transitioning and valuation of a practice. He and his team help hundreds of clients and non-clients with their transition goals annually.

Using his insight and experience from almost two decades in the dental industry, his passion is helping diagnose the financial support dentists need and then connecting them with someone who will then help them achieve their financial goals.

He is married to Roxane and between them they have four children. He enjoys watching them play sports in his spare time and traveling to the mountains in Colorado.
