Bleaching sensitivity is different from traditional sensitivity, yet potassium nitrate applied in a tray seems to work well for both. Caries control can also be obtained using carbamide peroxide bleaching materials through tray application. Learn how to explain to a patient the unique nature of bleaching sensitivity and what the best treatment options are. This course will also discuss the mechanism of caries control in elderly patients, orthodontic patients and cancer patients that involves bleaching materials, pH, diet and oral hygiene.
