As general practitioners with patient populations that are getting older and more diverse, we should be able to safely treat or manage medically complex patients and avoid complications. This program will focus on prevention and management of the medically involved patients that we commonly see in our practices. Examples include everything from the anti-coagulated patient to the pregnant patient. We will review guidelines for treatment and discuss how to determine the right time to refer.
